You can tell that if all of the blogs in that market have the key phrase in the title it’s going to be quite competitive. We can look at the top blogs and see which post gets the most comments. Later on we might provide them content that they can publish or be a guest interview for their blog to get us some ultra targeted traffic.
Republish
The next step in your network is to republish on your own blogs. So what we do is we actually have a secondary blog where we have somebody go along to our first blogs and then rewrite the information on our second blogs.
Google know exactly what sites you’ve got. There are tools you can go to online and reverse engineer the entire clusters of networks. Our preferred strategy is to build our blogs very, very strong. To feed some of our own blogs from the RSS widget occasionally and then we power up our blogs by getting links from other sites pointing back to our site. That’s our primary strategy and it’s working really well. We haven’t had any of our websites ‘slapped’ which is the term that we use if we would’ve say that Google de-indexes our site. Remember it’s ideal if you’re on a unique IP address if you’re going to link from one blog to another.
