And I’m going to show you the success we had in just one minute before we do though there’s one word that I’d like you to remove from your vocabulary, Blast. We should never blast our email list. It doesn’t sound very nice and it’s not very nice.
What we want to do is build a relationship with our list because I’m sure you’re already aware a list is very valuable and it’s an asset. If you’re going to sell your business, and you’re able to sell the list with it, it would be worth a lot more. In fact if you had nothing else but a list and a relationship with that list and an agreement that you could send that list email messages, you’d easily be able to generate revenue.
Just one more note before we dive in what to send your email subscribers. When you’ve got the sign up, also consider a viral share option. So when you take people from the free report that they might get so that they join your list. What you can do is actually have a retweet button on the Thank You page and here’s a little note from Twitter showing me how many people have retweeted the report that goes out in front of other users and they see it and they visit the site and they join your report so you really can go viral with that and you can easily check once you’ve got this in place that it’s easy to search for that retweet.
